E2C2 LLC is a company dedicated to a sustainable future. Eric E. Carlson, AIA, LEED AP is the managing principal of E2C2. He is a designer, consultant and entrepreneur who has worked in the energy, environment and education fields for more than 20 years. He has completed energy efficiency and renewable energy projects for public agencies and private organizations at the local, state, national and international levels. His environmental work has spanned the US and has taken him to Latin America, Asia and Europe on sustainable developement initiatives.
As a planner and analyst he has written whitepapers, conducted design, feasibility and planning studies, and executed performance and market analyses on a variety of environmental and energy technologies. He has also created branding strategies, interactive applications, educational programs and exhibits for government, industry, private clients, major museums and public organizations. His recent projects incorporate artificial intelligence and robotics and he has been researching the potential for additive manufacturing (sometimes known as 3D printing) to transform industries and supply chains.
Carlson holds graduate degrees from Yale University and the University of Washington. He has completed executive programs in product design at the MIT Sloan School of Management and the Greentech Entrepreneurship program at the University of California at Davis School of Management. He has taught graduate courses in sustainable design at the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, DC and has also taught human factors courses at the college level.
