Eric E. Carlson

Eric E. Carlson is is an innovator, investor, architect and artist who has worked in the energy, environment and education fields for more than 30 years. He has completed energy efficiency, green technology and renewable energy projects for public agencies and private organizations at the local, state, national and international levels. His environmental work has spanned the US and has taken him to Latin America, Asia and Europe on sustainable development initiatives.

He has authored whitepapers, conducted design, feasibility and planning studies, and executed performance and market analyses on a variety of environmental and energy technologies.  He has also created branding strategies, interactive applications, educational programs and exhibits for government, industry, private clients, major museums and public organizations. His recent projects incorporate artificial intelligence and robotics. Eric holds graduate degrees from Yale University (Environmental Management) and the University of Washington (Architecture/Urban Design). He has taught graduate courses in sustainable design at the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, DC as well as human factors courses at the college level. He was an early stage investor and strategic advisor to Early Ascent LLC, the developer of a popular, children’s learn to read app called Reading Raven and he is also active with Element 8 Angels, making early stage investments in clean technologies.
